What to Expect During a
Colon Hydrotherapy Session
Understanding the process can help ease any concerns.
Each colonic session lasts approximately 45 minutes and is conducted using an FDA-approved colonic irrigation machine equipped with a sophisticated water filtration system. For your comfort and safety, all tubing used is disposable.
The Process
You will be assisted by a certified therapist trained to help you feel at ease and relaxed throughout the session.
After a brief explanation, you’ll be shown how to gently insert a small speculum yourself — a quick and simple process. This is then connected to two separate plastic tubes:
One delivers clean, filtered water into the colon.
The other removes waste, including gas, undigested food, mucus, yeast, parasites, and even old fecal matter.
The therapist will carefully adjust the water temperature and pressure, ensuring a gentle and comfortable experience.
You will remain fully covered at all times for privacy and dignity.
The treatment involves repeated cycles of filling the colon with water and then releasing it. As the session progresses, you may observe material passing through the clear viewing tube, such as mucus, gas, or waste that has loosened from the colon walls. Because this is a closed system, there is no odor or mess involved.
To enhance the effects of the therapy, your therapist may perform a light abdominal massage and guide you in deep, relaxed breathing to support peristalsis and help release waste more easily.
How Many Sessions Do I Need?
The colon is about 5 to 6 feet long, and because the water is introduced gradually and gently, multiple sessions are typically needed to fully cleanse the system. Most clients benefit from 6 to 10 sessions to effectively dislodge old, impacted waste.
